I got the heart and lip molds from my local Walmart. These are Vienna wafers covered in chocolate. The molds are from Spinning leaf. Vienna wafers are not too sweet and perfect when paired with chocolate! We gifted these chocolate covered Oreos to my daughter’s teachers for Valentine’s day! . . . CLICK TO READ MORE

Mermaid Cookies- Happy Birthday Ellison!

I recently made these cookies for a sweet girl who just turned 6. She wanted aquamarine cookies. No Theme. The first thing that came to my mind was mermaids. Luckily, she loves mermaids too! I first iced the cookies in white, after they were completely dry, then airbrushed them with a mix of Americolor sheen sky blue and leaf green. The polka dot stencil is from The Cookie Countess. Then drew the mermaids using my Kopykake projector and edible pens. First filled the tails, then the hair and eyes. Finally the skin color. After that was dried I put some edible pink dust on her cheeks and drew the mouth with a red edible pen. All the mermaids drying . . . CLICK TO READ MORE

70th Birthday Cookies

My friend Kim ordered these cookies for her Dad’s 70th Birthday. The designs were selected by Kim after she saw them on the Vanilla Bean Baker and That Sweet Ang. I loved the idea. I hand cut the interstate cookies. I googled Interstate 70, saved the image and resized it to 3 inches. I then printed it, cut it out and stuck it on a thicker paper. I then placed it on the rolled dough and cut them using an X-acto knife. After the cookies had been baked and cooled, I first flooded the dark blue portion. Let it dry for 2-3 hours and then worked on the top red color leaving a little gap for the white. After the . . . CLICK TO READ MORE

I just made one cookie(Leah cookie, in the middle) using this technique as I quickly realized I needed a lot of practice for it. Snowflake cookies on a cookie stick! Bake Party-Cookies And Desserts

Bake Party This last weekend my little angel celebrated her birthday! Just cannot believe how fast she’s growing up. She was keen on having a cupcake decorating/bake party. There were 17 of her friends that attended the party and it was held at home. I began planning by first selecting an invitation. My daughter loved this one and best of all, it was free! Then I started planning the games and activities they would do and this is what we came up with (lot of inspiration from Pinterest). I set up stations where the girls decorated their aprons with fabric markers, chef hats decorated with cupcake liners and stickers ( for some who wanted to write their names too). The . . .
