Pear, Apple And Cranberry Crisp

Pear, Apple And Cranberry Crisp- Recipe by Ina Garten- Serves 8 to 10Last weekend we had some close friends over for dinner. Since the majority of my friends coming over were vegetarian I made this pear, apple and cranberry crisp. There’s something about fruity desserts. Simply love them! This crisp has orange zest, lemon zest, orange and lemon juice, cinnamon and a dash of nutmeg which really enhances the flavor of the fruit. It’s topped with a mixture of oatmeal, light brown sugar, flour and butter. It’s really amazing! I hope you try it out. Peel and core the pears and apples and cut them into large chunks. Place the fruit in a large bowl and toss with the cranberries, . . . CLICK TO READ MORE

Italian Wedding Soup

Italian Wedding Soup- Recipe By Ina Garten, Serves 8 I adapted this recipe from Ina Garten’s “Back to Basics” cookbook. I have tried almost all the recipes in it and they are fabulous! The soup is made with pasta, lots veggies like carrots, celery, and spinach. Fresh herbs like dill and parsley are added too. The meatballs have Pecorino Romano cheese, Parmesan cheese, milk that make them soft and delicious! I love that the meatballs are not fried but baked making it so much more easier. It’s a complete soup that has carbs, protein, vegetables and lots of flavor! The first time I made this soup I used home made chicken stock which was very flavorful no doubt but also very . . . Outrageous Brownies

Outrageous Brownies -Recipe by Ina Garten – 20 large brownies These “outrageous” brownies are aptly named because they’re are rich, chocolaty, and decadent in every sense of the word. The “secret” ingredient in this recipe is coffee – as it really brings out the chocolate flavor. Serve warm with vanilla ice-cream. (As this recipe makes a big batch, I usually freeze the brownies – individually wrapped in cling seal and foil before placing in a zip log bag). Ingredients: 1 pound unsalted butter 1 pound plus 12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips 6 ounces unsweetened chocolate 6 extra-large eggs 3 tablespoons instant coffee granules 2 tablespoons pure vanilla extract 2 1/4 cups sugar 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour 1 tablespoon baking . . . Chocolate Pudding

Chocolate Pudding- Recipe by Ina Garten, serves 5 Just about everything home-made is not only more reasonable but also tastes fresher and better. Don’t get me wrong, I am all for simplifying things and taking short cuts but when the recipe looks easy and do-able, I usually opt for making it myself. Last week, I made chocolate pudding for a few of our friends. The pudding was lusciously smooth, rich and decadent! I don’t think now, I can go back to eating the instant chocolate pudding out of the box. This home made version of chocolate pudding was an instant hit with all!
