I made cookies, cake pops, pretzels dipped in chocolate, chocolate cupcakes filled with toasted marshmallows and a malt chocolate frosting, red velvet cupcakes and mini desserts like toasted panna cottas with a rich, dark chocolate sauce and chocolate pots de creme. I had a lot of fun making these cookies and desserts. The bride’s mother had set up and decorated the place so beautifully. Sharing some pictures from the event! I have been so excited to make Valentine cookies, I bought tons of stickers, stamps, decorative wrapping paper as sources of inspiration but ended up making these simple marbled hearts. I simply fell in love with the vibrant contrast of colors. They are super simple to make, hence not at all time consuming and yet have this sweet “Wow” factor. Indian Wedding Cookies

This last weekend we were in Orlando to attend my close friend Kavitha and Biren’s wedding. It was one of the most awesome weddings I have attended. The festivities started on Friday night which was the Mehndi/Sangeet night. Mehndi or also known as henna is applied on all auspicious and special occasions on the palm of the hands. The designs are intricate and some times the bride might also write the name or an initial of the bridegroom on her palm which the bridegroom has to find. The next day, they had two ceremonies. The Sikh wedding was held in the morning and afternoon was the Hindu ceremony followed by the reception in the evening. Both the ceremonies were . . . CLICK TO READ MORE

Dr.Seuss Cookies

Sugar Cookies- Dr. Seuss A month ago, my neighbor who is a teacher asked me if I could make these for her little students. I was excited and ready for the challenge. There was just one problem. I did not have a kopykake projector or the required cookie cutters. So I made my own cutter by simply sketching the hat and then hand cutting the dough. I used royal icing transfer technique in making the fish. I googled away till I found some free coloring pages of the fish that I could use. My neighbor and her little munchkins were thrilled to have these! You will need: Sugar cookies Round cutter Dr. Seuss hat cutter or make your own Royal . . . CLICK TO READ MORE
