Bridal Shower – Pink and Gold

I recently had the pleasure of working on a dessert table for a bridal shower. I made cookies, cake pops, pretzels dipped in chocolate, chocolate cupcakes filled with toasted marshmallows and a malt chocolate frosting, red velvet cupcakes and mini desserts like toasted panna cottas with a rich, dark chocolate sauce and chocolate pots de creme. I had a lot of fun making these cookies and desserts. The bride’s mother had set up and decorated the place so beautifully. Sharing some pictures from the event! A big thank you to Icings by Ang who allowed me to use her tiara design. I absolutely love her work. My spin on it was that I topped the crown with a decorative . . . CLICK TO READ MORE

Bake Party-Cookies And Desserts

Bake Party This last weekend my little angel celebrated her birthday! Just cannot believe how fast she’s growing up. She was keen on having a cupcake decorating/bake party. There were 17 of her friends that attended the party and it was held at home. I began planning by first selecting an invitation. My daughter loved this one and best of all, it was free! Then I started planning the games and activities they would do and this is what we came up with (lot of inspiration from Pinterest). I set up stations where the girls decorated their aprons with fabric markers, chef hats decorated with cupcake liners and stickers ( for some who wanted to write their names too). The . . . Valentine Cookies

Valentine Cookies I would like to wish all my readers a very Happy Valentine’s Day. I have been so excited to make Valentine cookies, I bought tons of stickers, stamps, decorative wrapping paper as sources of inspiration but ended up making these simple marbled hearts. I simply fell in love with the vibrant contrast of colors. They are super simple to make, hence not at all time consuming and yet have this sweet “Wow” factor. For a detailed tutorial visit sweetambs. Every year on Valentine’s day, the PTA at my daughter’s school organizes coffee and desserts for the teachers. It’s a whole day event. This year, we are also doing a raffle. There are lots of fun prizes and one . . . CLICK TO READ MORE

Elf Cookies

I volunteered to make these for my daughter’s Girl Scout Brownie troop party. My little one insisted on elf cookies. I had pinned a few elf cookie designs by Lisa The bearfoot baker and yankeegirlyummies but I did not have an elf cutter. I emailed Lisa asking her for advice with designs since I didn’t have an elf cutter and who as usual so kind and generous to say that she could mail me hers. So sweet of her but I did not want to inconvenience her. So I googled away to find some options and stumbled upon Klickitat Street site and absolutely fell in love with Sarah’s work. She had used an ice cream cutter to make little . . . CLICK TO READ MORE

“Back to School” Cookies

I have always been fascinated with the art of cookie decorating and these days been obsessed with it. It’s about 3 years since I started baking and never in my wildest of dreams would I have imagined that I would bake sugar cookies and decorate them. I am inspired by many blogs and follow them religiously such as Sweetopia, Sweetapolita, Sweetsugarbelle, The Bearfoot Baker, One tough cookie, Sweetambs and the list goes on.
