Halloween Cookies- Go Bo Foundation

IMG_0566I am honored to be a part of this year’s 4th Annual Go Bo Foundation Bake Sale. Cookie artists from all over have joined in to donate cookies to this bake sale. Last year too I participated. You can view the cookies here.

The foundation is named after Bo Johnson, a courageous and brave boy who lost his battle to Leukemia. The Go Bo foundation is all about paying it forward by funding research, helping families, supporting treatment for children with life threatening medical conditions. The bake sale is organized by Jill Wettstein of Funky Cookie studio to raise money for this cause. If you would like to help with this wonderful cause, check out the Go Bo foundation for more information.

The Go Bo Foundation has a three-tiered approach of assistance to children with life-threatening medical conditions.
1.     Fund childhood cancer and related blood disorder research at the MACC Fund (Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer, Inc.).
2.     Support state-of-the-art treatment in a child friendly environment at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin (Dr. David Margolis was Bo’s doctor and he is a huge advocate and innovator in the field of childhood cancer).
3.     “Pay it forward” to families of children diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition. Since most of the family’s energy is spent on their child, families often experience a financial crisis during this time. The Go Bo! Foundation’s goal is to assist in alleviating some of the financial worries by providing direct financial assistant (mortgage, rent, utilities, etc.). The assistance is not to be used for medical expenses, but rather to assist with the day-to-day bills.
The theme for this year is fall/ halloween or children’s themed cookies. I made two design for this year’s bake sale. Chandelier cookies and little ghosts which will soon be posted:)
